Oh Poop!

Who would think something as angelic as this...

could create such a disaster in her pants that you don't want to come within 10 feet of her.

Monday started off good. Sherri and Amy came over for some lunch and then we planned to relax in the pool for a bit. We enjoyed our chicken salad croissant ring and then gave Rylie some attention and some food before we headed outside.

Rylie sat on my lap, peaceful as can be, enjoying her bottle when WHOOSH, I felt a warm wave wash over my leg. OH NO! It couldn't be. YES IT WAS! The wettest, stinkiest poop EVER escaped her pants all over the only bathing suit I can comfortably fit into in my post pregnancy condition.

Thank god for my baby loving visitors who helped me clean up this disaster, but not until after Amy was done screaming and taking photos (she said she couldn't take one of the diaper because it scared her.) If it weren't for them that poop bomb would have been spread all over my couch and carpet.

Rylie was feeling MUCH better after dropping her bomb so she dozed off to sleep until daddy got home that night. As we do each night, daddy fed her dinner and then handed her over to me briefly when she decided to vomit ALL OVER ME. She screamed for hours. I think we finally go her down to sleep around 1 a.m.

What happened to my quiet little baby? Gas and poops have got the best of her. Don't worry Rylie, we will battle this beast until we win.

What else is going on? Rylie is now enrolled in daycare, set to start on 10/24. It hurts my heart to leave her. I know she will make lots of friends there though and develop an adorable little personality and a big brain like her daddy.

Rylie also spent her first night in the crib last night, and I just about crazy glued the monitor to my ear. She did very well though. Slept until 4 a.m. Mommy is learning to let go a little at a time.
